Why volunteer with us?
We Love our Volunteers!
Donations & Materials Organizing
Volunteers are the main force behind keeping our operation clean and organized. Creative Junk Therapy has a constantly evolving inventory of materials and supplies based on the donations offeredUP by individuals and businesses. You would assist us by sorting, pricing and displaying materials, helping to make sure the shop is organized and clean, and ensure the donations we accept meet our standards.
Volunteer/Outreach Coordinator
Recruits, trains and schedules volunteers and supports the executive director on other potential areas for volunteer opportunities. Also assists in outreach efforts to build community.
Makers Market & Event Attendant
Makers Space is an open space where people can explore and upcycle reuse materials and transform them into art or some other new use. Duties include setting up classroom, making kits and instructions, greeting customers, orienting them to Makers Space and organizing/replenishing supplies. May also assist in preparation for events, classes and workshops held at CJT.
Fund Raising &
Grant Writing
We rely on a variety of funding sources, including private and public donations, and grants. CJT needs volunteers to coordinate and run fund raising events, and also to research and apply for relevant grants.
